It's been a year since we first started publishing our Chinee Series plugins. Thank you for being with us along the road, and helping us to keep on bringing more Chinese instruments to sampling world..

It's more than 'ethnic'

To get the genuine sound of any "ethnic" instrument, it usually requires the knowledge from the musicians as well as the proper tools (e.g., a properly made sample library or a well-crafted physical instrument). Here at Kong Audio, we try our best to take care of the latter, so the composers have nothing to worry about the genuineness of the tool itself and then they can focus on getting the work done.

The common problem with all-in-one "ethnic" libraries is that they usually are made by people, albeit being professional, who have little idea how these instruments are supposed to be played. The results are usually disastrous, as the final products evidenced more often than not, can only be "pushed" to customers who also have little idea what these instruments are supposed to be like. It's a predicament that has been haunting the sample industry for a long time.

"Do what we know" is our MOTTO

We hope to make a change. For us, the instruments we make are more than merely "ethnic". They are in our lives. They are our lives. We couldn't find any decent, usable sampled Chinese instruments in the market for us to use with. That's why we started Kong Audio in the first place. That's also exactly how we started Kong Audio - we do what we know and we know what we do.

It's our motto.

During the past year, with the support of all the steadfast users and all the rave reviews from reviewers alike, we know we must have done something right. Thanks to all the users out there who appreciate something more, something genuine, something that will (hopefully) last a long time.

This time we bring you a new member to the Chinee Series: ChineeGuanZi (Chinese Oboe). As always, we stick to the same philosophy as our previous works, in the hope that you will find it as inspiring and interesting to use in your composition as we do.
